Version 1

This site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. It runs no analytics script; visits are counted only from the requests your browser makes to load the page.

That is why you see no cookie banner here: there is nothing to accept or refuse.

1. Who sees your visit

Cloudflare serves gymdeed.com for us. Like any web host it receives the request your browser makes: your IP address, your browser's details, the page asked for and, if your browser sends it, the page you came from. From those requests Cloudflare shows us totals, such as how many visits the site had. We add nothing to the page to learn more.

The page's own scripts, styles, fonts and pictures are loaded from gymdeed.com.

2. Two pages that ask a server

  • A challenge page (gymdeed.com/c/…) asks our own server whether its code is open, and shows the sender's handle and the exercise, never a number. To stop people guessing codes, our server counts the wrong codes that come from one address in a day, under a coded form of the address; the address itself is not stored.
  • The Plus code page (gymdeed.com/code) shows the code from your link on your own screen and hands you to Apple. Nothing on the page reports the visit to us. A one-time code is carried in the part of the link that browsers send to no server.

3. The buttons to the App Store

A button to the App Store carries a campaign label, so that Apple can tell us how many installs came through which page or link. The label names a page or a campaign, never you. What Apple does when you open the App Store is under Apple's privacy policy.

4. The app

Gymdeed the app is not a website and uses no cookies. What it keeps on your phone, what leaves it and when is in the Privacy Policy.

5. Changes and contact

If this site ever starts to measure visits in another way, this page changes first, with a new version and date. Questions: [email protected].
